The Hermes & Zeus IF60 Luxury Powerboat

Hermes & Zeus Design, known for their yacht, architecture and fine jewelry designs, has revealed a new luxury powerboat called the IF60. Now taking preorders, H&Z’s sublime German design will be brought to life by Mystic Powerboats, who specialize in design, engineering and construction of high-performance powerboats.

Hermes & Zeus IF60 Powerboat

The unique look and color of the IF60 comes from the use of a twin-stepped bottom V-hull design made of carbon fiber reinforcements, e-glass construction and Dupont Imron Marine Paint. This build makes it lightweight with a structural strength of 6 g’s (a F1 racecar peaks at a g-force of 5, which is around enough to make a normal person pass out). It’s powered with twin MTU 10V 2000 engines rated at 1,600hp each, mated to Arneson surface drives. With MTU a leading manufacturer of diesel engines and Arneson’s surface drives known for being among the world’s most efficient propulsion systems.  This gives is a cruise speed of 60 knots (69 mph) and a nice max speed of 90 knots (104 mph). An even more extreme power option is offered, with twin 2,200hp turbine-powered version that can reach a staggering 180+ knots (200mph+). Like with a new Lamborghini, this powerboat includes a electronic adjustable rear wing. The exhaust flaps are also electronically controlled, letting you tame them down or let them roar as you throttle ahead. It measures 60 feet (18.3m) long, 13 feet (4m) at its widest point and 8 feet (2.4m) at its tallest.

Like any supercar, it’s high level of performance is matched with its high level of luxury and technology. I uses Hermes info software platform for GPS and navigation, with aft facing video monitors. A roadster-like windshield and a hardtop option. It has a flip-out swim platform, a bow sun lounge and an aft salon which can be converted into a rear sun lounge. Stylish electronically adjustable Recaro leather offshore seats are used, with options for either a 3-seat or 7-seat cockpit. This means gives you aft salon seating of either 16 or 12, respectively. The interior arrangements also include a galley, master stateroom, master head, guest head and std. and fort guest stateroom.

Can’t wait to see one of these finished and in action! Pricing starts at 2,800,000 Euros (approx. $3,650,000 USD) with a range of customizations that can be discussed. If you’re looking for more details, a full spec sheet or to contact the manufacturer, please visit the IF60 listing at LuxEury.
