Every once in a while you can find a very rare wine or spirit on the auction block and while cruising around Ebay tonight, I found just that. This 222 year old bottle of wine was made by Borges and is from the Madeira wine region, which is off the coast of Portugal on the Madiera Islands.

According to the listing, this bottle has always been kept upright and away from the light. Since the wine has spent more than two centuries in the bottle, a small amount of liquid is missing. Regardless, I doubt anyone who buys this is going to open it.

This 222 year old wine bottle has a starting bid price of $4,500 USD and the auction is set to expire in a week. The bottle is currently in Spain and can be shipped worldwide.
