20 Feb Canmore Castle In Alberta
The Canmore Castle, located in Calgary, Alberta, is on the market and it is one of the most unique properties I’ve seen in a long time. I was pretty excited reading Jessica’s post on that unique Whistler Chalet she blogged about the other week and decided to do some hunting on Sotheby’s myself. We’ve featured a lot of amazing real estate properties on Luxury Branded, but I think this one’s my favorite so far.
Located in the wilderness along the Three Sisters Parkway, this 11,000 sq ft luxury home blows conventional home designs out of the water. You’d expect us to mainly blog about beach front getaways on islands that are only accessible by boat, but then again you’d be wrong. Here in Vancouver I’m used to all sorts of amazing properties but thought a good look at what was offered in the province over might make you think more about Alberta. Most of you perhaps only have heard of Alberta due to our massive amounts of oil reserves known as the tar sands. After seeing the pictures and details about this home you’ll definitely remember this province for something completely different!
I guess I’ll start by saying this home is located in Alberta’s most exclusive gated community known as The Cairns on the Bow. Of course it has some down right envy inducing features like 5 stone fireplaces, theater room, bar, wine room, games room and 6 bedrooms including a guest house. Of course all those features are expected in a home that costs just nearly $12,000,000, but it’s the architects doing that really makes this property shine.
I’m pretty much down blabbing your ear off at this point and we’ll get into the pictures. I’ve never been so impressed with how an interior has been done on a home before. I think my favorite bit from all the places in this home is the picture of the totem pole beams that help hold this home together.
If you’re interested in talking about and or seeing this amazing home then contact Kristine Semrau via email or give her a call 403.542.8507. She’s the listed Sotheby’s agent handling this property and I wonder if she’s seen the place with er own eyes. Kristine, if you’re reading this go take a video and we’d be more than happy to feature it in this post and in an upcoming podcast episode.
