03 Apr Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Fest – American Express Gourmet Tasting Village

While I unfortunately couldn’t make it to the Gourmet Tasting Village, our new photographer Roz du Jour and fashion-lifestyle blogger Margot of Con M de Mar teamed up to go. The event took place under a giant tent on a pristine golf course at the Grand Coral Resort. Roz and Margot spend the sunny afternoon sampling signature dishes from the best chefs from Cancun and Riviera Maya restaurants. And for this delicious picnic, they didn’t forget the wine. Over 35 wineries and sommeliers were in attendance, from the best wine regions in the Americas and Europe. And to celebrate Mexico’s signature, over 20 of the best Mezcal from Oaxaca, along with other premium spirits were offered. With Italian cuisine being the theme this year, a special pavilion was set up. Here top Italian restaurants and producers served up their national cuisine, including rich desserts and ice cream. To match, popular Italian DJ’s set the mood to the festive occasion.
