Vintage luxury watches is a sector of the industry that has shown no signs of slowing down and collectors are in no shortage either. I wanted to see just what I could currently see on the open market without having to bug any dealers to show me something amazing. By all means, if you have a delectable vintage timepiece to show off then get in touch. For the rest of us we can rely on the various reliable market places on the block.

Patek Philippe 18kt Pocket Watch

 
I’ll admit I do not know the specific details of this watch and neither does the seller either. This Patek Philippe pocket watch is however made with 18kt gold and is up for sale on Etsy for $6,299 USD. You can get a bigger picture on the listing page and check out that serial number if you’re truly interested, although I imagine he’ll email it to any potential buyers.
 

Rolex Daytona 6241 Paul Newman 14kt From 1966

 
This is a watch that is highly sought after among collectors and the well know Robert Maron has this beautiful 66 on the auction block. The Daytona’s movement is the original manual winding Rolex Caliber 722 which is apparently in pristine condition. This column wheel chronograph caliber has 17 jewels and is adjusted to 3 positions and the serial number 1533XXX dates this watch to 1966.
 

Jaeger LeCoultre 25 CT Dia Brac/Watch in Platinum

 
This very rare item from around the 1940′s is currently on the market with the good folks over at Plaza 57. I’ve never seen anything like this is all my years so I thought it would fit in nicely in this post. This is most definitely one of the oldest timepieces I saw during my surfing. This Jaeger features a hidden watch case cover that opens by pushing a small lever on the side. The watch measures approx 7″ in length and weighs approx 39 grams which is almost 1 1/2 ounces of Platinum. This vintage watch is in working condition and comes with a champagne color dial with platinum markers and matching hands. This is currently going for $35,000 USD.
 

Panerai Radiomir 3646 47mm

 
While you usually just see Patek’s and Rolex’s as the majority of vintage pieces on sale it was a breath of fresh air to see this Panerai. This is a very popular piece in the military collector circles and were made from 1938 all the way past WW2 into the 1950′s. For its rarity 3646 has always been the most sorted-after vintage Panerai, the Holy Grail for Paneristi. 3646 is a case number assigned by Rolex, who supplied movement and also provided parts to Panerai. This watch is priced at around $114,000 and is currently located in Hong Kong at 9 Maiali.
 

1945 XXL Perpetual Calendar Chrono 18K Rose Gold

 
This watch to me was a little ahead of its time and the design captivates me to the point where I found myself staring at it for quite some time. Girard-Perregaux has provided many of the top Swiss brands with its calibers for so long now and this piece is really a skilled work of art. This beauty is an Automatic with 18K Rose Gold XXL Perpetual Calendar Chronograph from 1945 and is priced at $57,100 USD. This Vintage piece comes on a rectangular polished 18K Rose Gold case, measuring to 34 x 49 mm with sapphire crystal, crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two chronograph pushers, and a transparent sapphire crystal screw-in caseback. Housed inside this stunning case is an automatic self-winding caliber GP3170 with 44 jewels, a power reserve of 45 hours and a water resistance up to 30 meters.
